Dennis Yost, President and CEO
Mr. Yost joined Cavendish Kinetics in March 2007 as CEO. Since 2006 he has been a member of the Cavendish Kinetics Board of Directors. Prior to joining Cavendish Kinetics, he was Vice President and General Manager of the CMP business unit at Novellus Systems Inc. Prior to Novellus, Mr. Yost was Chief Operating Officer at Lightpath Technologies and was General Manager and Managing Director at Applied Materials Corp. Prior to Applied Materials, he held various engineering management and engineering positions with Texas Instruments Corp. including engineering manager in the Digital Light Products Components Group. Mr. Yost also worked as a process engineer for Intel Corp. Mr. Yost holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering degree from Texas A&M University as well as a M.B.A. degree from Southern Methodist University.

Dr. Richard Knipe Ph.D., VP of Engineering and CTO
Dr. Knipe joined Cavendish Kinetics in June 2007 as VP of Engineering and CTO, after a 22 year career at Texas Instruments. Started as a structural analyst, he moved up to R&D manager Digital Micromirror Devices. In 1996, he became Technology Development Manager and was responsible for bringing the very successful Digital Light Processing (DLP) technology out of development and into production. Dr. Knipe and Dr. Larry Hornbeck were co-winners of the PC Magazine’s Best New Technology for the development of the DLP product. The last six years, he was business manager for TI’s DLP Optical Networking and Digital Sensor groups.  Dr. Knipe holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington and has over 20 MEMS related patents.

Larry Morrell, Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales
Mr. Morrell joined Cavendish Kinetics in January 2009 as Executive Vice President, Marketing, Sales and Business Development.  For the previous six years he was Vice President/General Manager of Impinj’s IP Products Division which created and licensed AEON™ nonvolatile memory IP for semiconductor companies.  The NVM IP business was purchased by Virage Logic.  Prior to that Mr. Morrell directed marketing for Cypress’ Computer Products Division which launched the USB and programmable clock product lines. Prior to that Mr. Morrell was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Data I/O Corporation.  Mr. Morrell also held various engineering and marketing positions at Seattle Silicon and The Boeing Company.  Mr. Morrell has a BSEE and BA in languages from New Mexico State.

Dr. Rob van Kampen, Director MEMS design and architecture
Dr. Van Kampen joined Cavendish Kinetics BV in December 2001 with 7 years of industry experience in MEMS; Pressure sensors: automotive, medical, general purpose; Accelerometers; Humidity sensors; Comb-drive systems; Micro-mirrors for optical networks.
His previous positions were Principal Staff Engineer, Advanced Photonics Networks, Fremont, CA, USA; Electronic Engineer, Percep Inc., Milpitas, CA, USA; Director of Engineering, Silicon Microstructures Inc, Fremont, CA, USA; Engineer, Delft Measurement Systems, The Netherlands and Engineer, IC Sensors, Milpitas, CA, USA.
Dr. Van Kampen published over 10 publications in the field of MEMS and MEMS Processing and 6 patents.

Dr. Charles Smith, Founder & Chief Scientist
Dr. Smith is Professor at the Cambridge University, UK. He is also member of the Semiconductor Physics group at the Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge University, UK. Dr. Smith is the founder of Cavendish Kinetics Ltd. in 1994.
In his role, he focuses on fabricating state of the art sub-micron semiconductor devices. This includes the development of techniques for investigating the quantum properties of low dimensional devices in a non-invasive manner and investigating the combination of micro-mechanical devices with single electron charging.
Dr. Smith published over 100 publications and several patents. He also won several grants over the past 5 years.

Ms. Ainslie Mayberry, CFO
Ainslie Mayberry has over two decades of financial experience, most recently providing strategic financial and investment services to pre- and post-IPO companies across a broad range of industries, including networking, semiconductor, software and ecommerce.
Prior to establishing a consulting practice, Ms. Mayberry was a co-founder of AssureNet Pathways Inc., a network access security solution provider, in Mountain View, California. While with AssureNet, she held many executive positions including acting president and CEO, chief operating officer, chief financial officer and was a member of the board of directors. Ainslie holds a BS and MBA in Finance.
